The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has developed a new rotation mechanism that can become an alternative to the demobilization of servicemen. The essence of the mechanism is to provide several months of rest after 90 days of direct participation in hostilities. “This is exactly the mechanism that the Minister of Defense also mentions in his address, the developed rotation mechanism: after 90 days of direct participation in hostilities, a person has the right to rest, again, for several months. This is the alternative to dismissal or setting clear terms of service. Mr. Umyerov says that these recommendations have already been developed, we will wait.” – explained the People’s Deputy.
It is currently unknown when exactly this mechanism will start to operate. Venislavsky also did not specify how many months the rest for the military would last.
“It must be a directive: either a bet decision or an order from the commander-in-chief,” – noted the People’s Deputy.
According to him, at the level of legislation, it is impossible to take into account all the specifics of hostilities, in particular, to determine the exact number of soldiers who can be released. In addition, Venislavsky noted that the adoption of the corresponding law will lead to the mass dismissal of military personnel, which, in the conditions of active pressure from Russia in various directions, may have negative consequences.
“Therefore, at this moment, to say that we will receive this draft law and it will be voted on is, as I have repeatedly told you, too optimistic.” he added.
