The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to improve the supply system for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, introducing a new quality control mechanism for the food service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The initiative implemented by the Central Department of Quality Control of the Ministry of Defense covers a wide range of equipment and goods — from kitchen equipment to complex technological and refrigeration units.
“Quality control begins at the procurement stage and continues until the final delivery, guaranteeing compliance of all goods with the technical requirements of the Ministry of Defense. This year, goods for the Armed Forces with an estimated value of about UAH 900 million will be subject to control.” – noted Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhiy Melnyk.
The key stage in the implementation of this initiative will be the unification of technical requirements for equipment — production tables, electrical appliances, refrigeration equipment, production lines for the production of disposable tableware and water bottling, etc.
“Such measures minimize the risks of low-quality goods and equipment entering the Armed Forces and contribute to the creation of a quality control system that will meet both national and international standards.” – explained the head of the Central Department of Quality Control Ihor Leshchenko.
