The US has offered Ukraine a new version of the mineral agreement, which immediately provides for parliamentary ratification beyond the original framework agreement. About this on March 25 during a conversation with journalists stated President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
“This is a big, full agreement, the vision of the American side. From the steps that came before – a framework agreement, and after the framework agreement, a full agreement is being developed – now the American side has offered our side a big agreement at once.” – noted Zelensky.
He clarified that at the moment there are “no details” of the new US offer.
“This is already a serious document. But such a document will be developed by the parties, and then it will go to the parliament for ratification.”, – the president added, stressing that “there is no question of nuclear plants there.”
This statement was made after US President Donald Trump announced that an agreement on rare earth metals with Ukraine would be signed “soon”.
