The Ministry of Defense will create pants with knee pads and overalls at the request of the military
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is working on expanding the assortment of tangible property for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, technical specifications are being developed for new items of equipment, such as baseball caps, pants with knee pads and summaries for turnstiles and tablets. Such changes are due to the results of a survey among military personnel, which was conducted in July-August by the Department of Procurement Policy of the Ministry of Defense together with the Command of Logistics Forces. According to the results of the survey, these items are the most necessary to increase the comfort and efficiency of Ukrainian defenders on the front line.
Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov explained that the survey was aimed at determining the real needs of the army in the context of providing uniforms, body armor and helmets. He noted that the needs in these categories are fully satisfied, and warehouse stocks remain stable.
In addition, during the survey, the military had the opportunity to express their wishes regarding additional items of equipment. In particular, they noted the need for demi-season jackets, single-person tents, tactical sneakers, baseball caps, as well as tablet and turnstile covers. In response to these requests, the Ministry of Defense plans to develop and put into production new types of tangible property.
“We strive to provide our military with everything necessary for the effective performance of tasks. The war changes, the needs change — and we listen to the servicemen. During the survey, they expressed specific wishes regarding the material possessions they lack. We will take this into account.”, – said Klimenkov.
