The new Prime Minister of Canada invited Zelenskyy to the G7 summit

Carney gave Zelensky an official invitation during a phone conversation. The spokesperson of the Canadian government confirmed that the President of Ukraine is invited to the G7 meeting, which will take place on June 15-17 in Kananaskis, in the western part of Alberta.
Canada, which holds the G7 presidency from January 1, 2025, will host the summit. The “Group of Seven” includes Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States. Earlier, from March 12 to 14, the G7 foreign ministers met in the Canadian city of La Malbe.
This event, which marks the 50th anniversary of the first G7 summit, will be an important event for discussing global challenges and finding common solutions. During the summit, G7 leaders are expected to discuss issues of international security and stability, including the situation in Ukraine and measures to deter Russia’s aggressive actions.
