The number of job vacancies for people without work experience is increasing in Ukraine.

Job offers for candidates without experience have increased in Ukraine – currently they make up almost half of all vacancies. About this testify data from the Work.ua study.

In April 2025, 56% of employers in Ukraine indicated a requirement for work experience in job vacancies. At the same time, 44% of offers were also open to candidates without experience. For comparison: in April 2024, the share of such vacancies was 39%. In order to overcome the shortage of personnel, companies are increasingly lowering the requirements for applicants and are ready to invest in their training.

One of the noticeable trends in the labor market is the increase in the number of vacancies for students. In every fourth offer, employers indicate their willingness to hire employees who are in training. Remote work remains less popular among employers. In April, the share of such vacancies increased by only 1%. The average salary offered in vacancies in April increased to UAH 24,500. Analysts note that since the beginning of the year, it has been growing by approximately UAH 500 every month.

It was also reported that in Ukraine there is a significant gap between the expectations of candidates and the offers of employers — the latter offer almost twice as much lower pay. Ukrainians are most actively looking for work in the fields of trade and sales, transport and logistics, IT, production and engineering. These directions remain among the most promising on the market.

The average age of employees in Ukraine increases by about 4-5 months every year. The highest competition for vacancies was recorded in Kyiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Odesa and Kharkiv regions. The lowest — in Kherson, Zakarpattia, Chernihiv and Sumy.
