The Pension Fund of Ukraine has set a maximum amount of income for receiving utility benefits

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has implemented an updated mechanism for providing benefits for payment of housing and communal services, defining clear criteria for receiving them in 2025. About this informs press service of PFU.
According to the new rules, citizens whose average monthly total family income per person for the last six months does not exceed UAH 4,240 will be entitled to benefits. When calculating this indicator, the Pension Fund will use data from the State Tax Service on the incomes of beneficiaries and their families for the second half of 2024.
“The right to receive benefits from January 2025 is determined automatically, without the need for additional appeals to the bodies of the Fund,” – noted in PFU.
One of the key features of the new system is that policyholders have already submitted their tax returns for the fourth quarter of 2024 by February 10, 2025. Based on these data, the Pension Fund will automatically recalculate benefits for all citizens who meet the criteria.
It is necessary to contact the bodies of the Fund only in case of changes in the composition of the family, the place of residence or the list of services for which benefits are provided. The first payments under the updated system, which are scheduled from January 2025, will be made in March.
