The President of Argentina instructed to declassify documents on Nazis who arrived in the country after World War II

Argentina’s president, Javier Millais, has ordered the declassification of documents related to Nazis who sought refuge in the country after World War II. This was stated by the head of the Argentine government, Guillermo Francos, informs DNews.
“There are still documents that have not been made public, primarily related to banking transactions. President Miley, at the request of US Senator Steve Daines, has directed to open access to all documents that any government agency may have,” said Frankos.
According to him, the impetus for such a decision was a request from the Republican US Senator Steve Daines, who recently met with Miley at the Casa Rosada.
“A few days ago, President Miley received Senator Steve Daines, who has long fought for all information about the time when the Nazis took refuge in Argentina to be known”, — explained Frankos.
He emphasized that the president has already given an order to declassify all information stored in state archives. According to him, the materials of the Ministry of Defense, as well as financial documentation related to the activities of the Nazis, are of particular interest.
The head of the government emphasized the importance of “knowing the whole story” and added that the government is committed to making these documents open to the public. He also recalled that the decree on the declassification of archives was signed back in 2010, but was never fully implemented.
