The Prosecutor General and the US Ambassador on special assignments identified the key areas of cooperation

During a working visit to New York, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, held meeting with US Ambassador-at-Large Beth Van Skaak. He expressed gratitude to the United States for the provided technical assistance and expert support, which are important for Ukraine on the way to European integration and ensuring comprehensive responsibility for international crimes committed by Russia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for further strengthening the institutional capabilities of the Prosecutor General’s Office. Special attention was paid to improving investigations and prosecutions for war crimes committed by the Russian Federation.
“The Advisory Group on Serious International Crimes (ACA) and its lead implementing organization, Georgetown University, provide us with full support. We are constantly working with the US Department of Justice.”Andriy Kostin noted.
He also noted the importance of further cooperation with American partners, which will allow Ukraine to respond even more effectively to war crimes and contribute to the strengthening of justice in the country.
