The right bank of the Oskil River in the Kharkiv region was returned under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops in the area of the village of Novomlynsk in the Kupyan region, in the Kharkiv region. About this informs General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The enemy tried to seize and hold the bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskil River. Having an advantage in forces, the enemy even crossed a water obstacle. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders, supported by artillery and UAV units, knocked the enemy out of the bridgehead.”, – the message states.
The operation was carried out by fighters of the 8th separate assault battalion of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss”. According to the information of the General Staff, the right bank of the Oskil River is fully controlled by the Ukrainian military, and the state flag is raised over the village of Novomlynsk.
Currently, the Russian troops are not abandoning their intentions to achieve success on this part of the front. The enemy conducts intensive assault operations, using all available means. The Ukrainian defenders gave the Russians a decent rebuff, inflicting significant losses on them.
