“Okhmatdyt” Children’s Hospital received a batch of modern medical equipment from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. These are neurosurgical tools that will help in the diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases. About this reported on the fund’s official website.
“The transfer of this equipment is an investment in the health and development of each child. We are convinced that thanks to such innovative tools, young patients will have the opportunity to recover faster, which, in turn, will give them a chance for a better future.”, – said Andriy Mishchenko, head of programs and projects of the fund.
This initiative is part of the “Rinat Akhmetov – Children” program, which aims to support children affected by Russian aggression. The program includes projects on treatment, rehabilitation, psychological support and development of children’s talents through motivational activities.
The new equipment will allow hospital specialists to examine, treat and remove damaged tissue or tumors in the brain using a high-precision endoscope with a camera.
This transfer became the next stage of assistance to “Okhmatdyt” after the missile strike in July 2024. Earlier, the hospital received two intensive care units, ultrasound equipment for diagnostics, a piezo ultrasound device for complex bone operations, a device for connecting bones and an electromyographic system for diagnosing neurological and muscle diseases. Thanks to this support, “Okhmatdit” will be able to carry out high-precision diagnostics and necessary operations for more than 4 thousand children every year.
