The Russian army attacked Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions: there are dead and wounded

On the night of June 5, the Russian army attacked Kharkiv and Chernihiv region with attack drones and missiles. In Pryluky, Chernihiv region, 5 people were killed as a result of the strikes, and six others are also known to have been injured. About this informs State Emergency Service.
“Chernihiv Oblast: 5 people, including a child aged 1 year and 4 months, were killed as a result of a Russian UAV night attack on the city of Pryluky. Six more people were injured of varying degrees of severity.” – says the message.
In the National Police clarified, that among the dead are a 46-year-old resident of Pryluk, her daughter born in 1998 and a grandson born in 2024. A woman and a child were found under the rubble. Six people were also injured. As a result of the hits, large fires broke out in the residential sector. Two residential buildings, two garages, one farm building and a car were destroyed.
On the night of June 5, Russia struck the Slobid district of Kharkiv — multi-story buildings came under fire. Initially, according to preliminary data, there was a rocket attack on the Slobid district. Around 01:02, the drone attack on the cities began.
“According to preliminary data, 17 people were injured, including 4 children. As a result of the hits, multi-story residential buildings and cars were damaged. There were 3 sources of fire: an apartment on the top floor of a 17-story residential building, an apartment on the 2nd floor and the basement of a 5-story building, and 3 cars were on fire.” — reported in the State Emergency Service.
At the site of the shelling, units of the State Emergency Service, including pyrotechnicians and dog experts, worked. Injured residents were helped by psychologists of the service.
“Debris pierced the walls in one of the apartments. A part of the “Shaheda” engine ended up right in the corridor. At that moment, the owners were at home – they were saved only because they were sleeping in another room. It’s a miracle that everyone is alive.”, — added Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov.
