The Russian army attacked railway infrastructure in three regions of Ukraine

On the morning of May 28, Russian troops attacked railway infrastructure facilities and rolling stock in Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Sumy regions. About this reported press service of “Ukrzaliznytsia”.

In the Kharkiv region, the wreckage of an enemy drone fell on a railway track. To ensure safety, traffic in this area was temporarily stopped while police and rescuers carried out demining operations. After that, traffic was quickly restored.

In Slovyansk, Donetsk region, the contact network was damaged due to hostilities. In addition, the fragments of the FPV drone damaged the glass of one of the electric train cars. In the morning, the city came under another shelling — as a result, windows in the station building were broken.

Minor damage to the railway track by enemy UAVs was recorded in Sumy Oblast, but train traffic in this area was not disrupted and continues as normal.

“In all cases, there were no casualties or injuries among employees and passengers. The railwaymen continue to promptly repair the infrastructure and ensure traffic in the country, despite the enemy’s efforts to intervene and stop it.” – noted in “Ukrzaliznytsia”.

It will be recalled that on May 23, Russian forces struck the railway infrastructure in the Chernivtsi region. Then there were also no victims or victims.
