Work is underway on the possibility of transporting Azerbaijani gas through the territory of Ukraine to Europe. About this reported the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhiy Tyhiy, rejected the idea of transportation under the guise of Azerbaijani “some other” gas.
“Work is ongoing on the possibility of transporting Azerbaijani gas, as the president said. To clarify this issue, I can clarify that it is not about transporting Azerbaijani gas under the guise of some other gas. It is about Azerbaijani gas and the role of Ukraine in its transportation. The work is ongoing.” – noted Tykhi.
He emphasized that Ukraine receives different signals from the Prime Minister of Slovakia regarding this issue.
It will be recalled that earlier President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced Ukraine’s readiness to transport Azerbaijani gas to Europe through its territory. According to him, he already discussed this issue with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during a meeting in Switzerland.
