The Russian army hit Konotop with ballistics and drones: an infrastructure facility was destroyed
On the night of May 5, Russian troops carried out a combined attack with missiles and drones on Konotop in the Sumy region. As a result of the impact, the infrastructure object was destroyed. About this reported the mayor of Konotop, Artem Semenikhin.
“The attack was combined with the use of more than a dozen Shaheds and two ballistic missiles. The Russians struck at intervals on purpose to cause more damage, to kill rescuers and medics. Semenikhin noted that, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties or injuries. According to him, a humanitarian headquarters will start working in the “Port” neighborhood in the morning, where residents whose homes have been damaged can contact them.
The day before, the Russian army shelled several settlements in the Sumy Oblast. Russian troops struck the residential streets of Velika Pisarivka with guided aerial bombs. A 55-year-old civilian was killed as a result of the attack. The occupiers dropped three guided aerial bombs on civilian infrastructure objects. At the time of the attack, the man was in the yard of his own house.
Bilopilja came under fire from multiple rocket launchers. Residential buildings, electricity network and gas pipeline were damaged. Damage to critical infrastructure facilities is known. Part of the city remained without electricity. The OVA noted that energy workers are already working on restoration.
