On the night of May 24, Russian troops launched a large-scale UAV and ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. A number of strong explosions were recorded in the city. According to the rescuers, a fire broke out in the apartments on the 4th and 5th floors of a five-story residential building in the Solomyansk district due to an enemy attack. The fire was extinguished. One man was saved using a special rescue hood. According to the preliminary diagnosis, he was poisoned by combustion products.
In the Obolonskyi district, balconies in a nine-story building from the 3rd to the 6th floor were occupied. Three residents were evacuated to fresh air, four more sought medical help with signs of an acute stress reaction. The fire was contained.
Another fire broke out in the Svyatoshyn district – in a one-story building where paint and varnish materials were stored. Works to extinguish the fire are ongoing.
Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko clarified, which is currently known about 8 victims:
“Currently, we know about 8 victims. Two of them were hospitalized from the Dnipro district. Another six received medical help on the spot – in the Svyatoshyn district of the capital.”
