On the night of July 9, Russia launched a massive attack on the territory of Ukraine using attack drones and missiles. At night, the threat of drones spread to almost the entire country, explosions were recorded in various regions. Air defense forces acted against enemy targets, about the movement of drones reported Air Force of the ZSU.
During the night, explosions were heard in Kyiv and the region, as well as in Poltava, Kharkiv, Lutsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Vinnytsia Oblast, Zhytomyr Oblast, and Rivne Oblast. The first reports of victims are coming, in particular in the Kyiv region. A woman born in 1980 was injured as a result of shelling in the Brovar district.
“Unfortunately, a woman born in 1980 was injured in the Brovary district as a result of an enemy attack. She is currently being hospitalized in a local hospital. The preliminary diagnosis is a closed chest fracture. All necessary medical assistance is provided.” — clarified Mykola Kalashnyk, head of Kyiv OVA.
In addition, Russia took to the air MiG-31K fighters – carriers of “Kinzhal” missiles. High-speed aerial targets launched by these planes were recorded in the Zhytomyr region.
On the night of July 9, Lutsk suffered the most massive attack since the beginning of the full-scale war. Russia used drones and missiles of various types. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out on the territory of one of the local enterprises, as well as destruction and fire in the garage cooperative.
“Today was the most massive enemy attack with the use of UAVs and missiles on our city and community. We have a fire and damage to garages on the territory of one of the garage cooperatives and a fire on the territory of one of the enterprises. The rest of the damage is being investigated. Fortunately, at this moment there is no information about those killed as a result of the enemy attack.”, — reported Mayor of Lutsk Ihor Polishchuk.
