In Kharkiv, the first use of a new type of drone — “Chernyk” — by the Russian army was recorded. About this reported Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
“The Russian aggressor does not stop trying to harm Kharkiv. Over the past week, our city has survived 16 enemy attacks. Most often, the enemy struck with “Shakhed”, but also specialists of the Department of Emergency Situations also recorded an attack for the first time by a new type of drone called “Chernyka”, – noted the mayor.
According to him, the new drone resembles the “Lightning” in terms of the power of the combat unit, but differs structurally. As a result of the “Chernyka” attack, several cars in the garage cooperative were damaged.
In general, for a week, explosions rang out in the Nemyshlyansky, Kyiv and Industrial districts of the city. Residential buildings and civil infrastructure were damaged. Four people were injured, including one child. There are no casualties. Terekhov also emphasized that during this period the total duration of air alarms in Kharkiv was 33 hours (43%) less than the average for the region.
“This is the result of the coordinated work of the military, air defense and analysts of the Situation Center”, he concluded.

Pavel Narozhny, a military expert and founder of Reaktivna Poshta, explained that the Molniya-1 UAV has a different design than classic FPV drones — it is an “aircraft” and not a quadcopter. According to him, “Molniya” is able to overcome much greater distances and carry an anti-tank mine “TM-62” weighing 11 kg, although in this case the flight range is significantly reduced.
