The situation in the south of Ukraine is becoming more and more threatening. About this stated representative of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Vladyslav Voloshyn, on the air of the “My-Ukraine” TV channel.
According to him, the situation in the region remains tense. The enemy continues to aggravate the situation, increasing the number of assaults, shelling, strikes by drones, rockets and aircraft.
“Every day, the number of attacks and assaults increases by several dozen. Russian troops are particularly active in the Kherson and Dnieper directions. If two weeks ago, in February, the situation was somewhat more stable, now the aggravation is also noticeable in the Zaporizhzhia, Gulyaipil and Orihiv directions. An important factor in the activation of the enemy was the improvement of weather conditions, which facilitates the conduct of offensive operations.” – noted Voloshyn.
Voloshin also emphasized the threat of actions of Russian troops in the Dnipro delta. Attempts to land amphibious groups in order to restore positions on the right bank of the river are of particular concern.
“Yesterday, another attempt to land Russian units near the Antoniv bridge was recorded.” – he informed.
The Ukrainian defense forces are keeping control of the situation, carrying out counterattacks and destroying enemy groups that are trying to gain a foothold in the area. According to operational data, as of 16:00 on March 15, more than 80 combat clashes took place on the entire front line. The highest activity of Russian troops was recorded in Donetsk region. In particular, in the Pokrovsky direction, the enemy made 21 assault attempts.
