The State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicions to the former head of the State Geocadastre in the Khmelnytskyi region

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation reported about the suspicion of the former head of the State Geocadastre in Khmelnytskyi region. His actions caused losses to the state in the amount of almost 2.5 million hryvnias.
The investigation established that in 2021, the official illegally issued documents for the transfer into private ownership of land plots belonging to the Borysiv village council of the Shepetiv district. Since these lands are the property of the territorial community, they could not be alienated by his decision.
In total, 27 orders were prepared and issued in favor of fictitious persons, to whom plots with a total area of 49 hectares and a value of 2.4 million hryvnias were transferred. As a result, two people received ownership of the land, and already in 2023, a quarry for the extraction of sand, gravel, clay and kaolin began to work on this territory. Currently, the issue of seizure of plots and their return to communal ownership is being resolved, as well as possible compensation for damages caused to the state.
The former official is charged with abuse of official position, which caused grave consequences, perpetrated by prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and official forgery (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). If found guilty, he faces up to six years in prison.
The former head of the regional administration of the State Geocadastre is already involved in several criminal proceedings. According to the SBI, he is charged with the illegal transfer of 135 hectares of land with a total value of over 6.5 million hryvnias to bogus persons.
The court continues to consider the case regarding transactions with the lands of the Kitaygorod and Staroushytsk settlement councils of the Kamianets-Podilskyi district. Also, in October of last year, a case related to the transfer of 70 hectares of land within the boundaries of the Myrolyubnen community of the Starokostyantiniv district was referred to the court.
Procedural management in all cases is carried out by the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
