Zelensky and Erdogan discussed ways to implement the “peace formula” in New York

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a meeting with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in New York, where he discussed the further development of the strategic partnership between the two countries and the implementation of the “peace formula”. This is what the head of state said reported in your Telegram channel.

During the meeting, the main attention was paid to the expansion of bilateral trade, attraction of investments and strengthening of economic cooperation, in particular, the participation of Turkish companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine. Separately, the parties discussed the implementation of the “peace formula” with an emphasis on ensuring freedom of navigation in the Black Sea, where Turkey should play a key role in the implementation of the corresponding point of the plan.

Zelensky also invited Erdogan to visit Ukraine.

We will remind that on September 22, the President of Ukraine arrived in New York to participate in the events of the high-level week of the UN General Assembly. On September 23, the Future Summit began at the UN headquarters, where Zelensky delivered a speech.

In addition, on the sidelines of the General Assembly, Zelensky held a number of important meetings, in particular with the bipartisan delegation of the US Congress, where the main focus was on the Victory Plan. Negotiations were also held with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloney, and Finnish President Alexander Stubb, where issues of further support to Ukraine and ways to solve current international challenges were discussed.
