The State Employment Service announced the new winners of the government program “Own Business”

The State Employment Service announced the winners of the government program “Own business” who applied for grants between February 3 and 16, 2025. In total, 798 entrepreneurs, including youth and veterans, will receive grants, which will contribute to the creation of more than 1,000 new jobs. About this informs Government portal.

According to the results of the third wave of the program in 2025, 534 entrepreneurs will receive micro-grants in the total amount of UAH 124 million for starting or developing their own businesses, which will create 862 new jobs. Among the recipients of micro-grants, 58% are women, 34% are men, and 8% are legal entities. Kyiv region (14%), Lviv region (13%), Ivano-Frankivsk region (9%), Rivne region (7%) and Kharkiv region (7%) were the leaders among the regions.

Most of the winners — 71% — have a higher education, another 16% have a special secondary education (technical school, college). 28 young people aged 18 to 25 will receive grants of up to 150,000 hryvnias to start their own business. These funds will help cover the costs of renting premises, purchasing equipment and other needs necessary for a successful business start-up. Since the launch of the program in September 2024, 165 Ukrainians have already benefited from this support.

Since the beginning of the implementation of the program in 2022, 24,000 micro-grants have been provided, which contributed to the creation or launch of more than 44,000 new jobs. This has a positive effect on the country’s economy, stimulating local business, developing infrastructure, services and attracting investment.

Within the veteran direction of the “Own business” program, 112 winners have been identified, who will receive grants in the total amount of almost 57 million hryvnias. This will create 228 new jobs. Among the winners of the third wave of the program, 51% are combatants. The vast majority (68%) have higher education, and 67% are already active entrepreneurs. The average size of the grant is 509 thousand hryvnias.

We will remind you that within the framework of the “Own business” program, which is implemented by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the State Employment Service, it is possible to receive micro-grants of up to 250 thousand hryvnias for starting or developing a business. Participants in hostilities, persons with disabilities as a result of the war, as well as their spouses can receive up to UAH 1 million within the framework of the veterans’ direction. Young people under 25 years of age can apply for a grant of up to 150,000 hryvnias.
