The State Security Service orders “baby boxes” for 419 million hryvnias

State-owned enterprise “Ukrainian special systems” (“USS”) State Special Communications concluded an agreement with “Sky Trade Ukraine” LLC on the supply of “baby boxes” for 419 million hryvnias.
This is reported in the system “Clearly”.
This year, 55,210 sets of one-time natural aid “baby packages” for UAH 7,589, or $193, will be delivered to health care institutions and structural units of social protection of the population across Ukraine.
The composition of the kit has changed a little:
- The plaid has increased.
- Warm clothes and waterproof diapers were added.
- Reduced the size of the smallest clothes, which quickly outgrow.
Compared to previous years, the price of “baby boxes” has increased:
- In 2023, the price was UAH 6,778, or $185.
- In May 2022, after the full-scale invasion of Russia, the price was UAH 6,270, or $214.
- In September 2021, the price was UAH 4,532, or $170.
The company received the order without competition, because no one else came to open tenders.
Kyivska “Sky Trade Ukraine” in 2019, delivered through UNOPS (the United Nations Office for Project Services) the last batch of “baby boxes” for UAH 4,200. And from 2020, it receives USS contracts for them in Prozorro. The founders of the company are Oleksiy Volokhov from Svitlovodsk, Dmytro Dovhalyuk from Korosten and ZNVIF “Greenford” JSC, which is owned by Tamara Tinus “Daliz-Express” Financial Company LLC, and the director is Dmytro Primak. The ultimate beneficiaries of Sky Trade Ukraine are Volokhov and Dovhalyuk. Oleksiy Volokhov is the son of former deputy of the Svitlovodsk City Council from “Batkivshchyna” Serhiy Volokhov.
