Government approves standards for the functioning of the network of National Resistance Centers
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for the creation and operation of Centers for training citizens for national resistance, developed by the Ministry of Defense in cooperation with the Office of the President of Ukraine. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The document defines the mechanism of creation of the Centers, the principles of their activity, as well as the procedure for interaction with state authorities, local self-government, Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Special Operations Forces and civil society.
The main goal is to ensure the preparation of the population to participate in the national resistance, to form a patriotic consciousness, as well as to provide citizens with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for the protection of the state.
“The creation of a network of Centers of National Resistance is an important step for strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities. This decision increases our resilience, it will ensure that our citizens will be ready to contribute to the security of the country.” – emphasized Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Yevhen Moysyuk.
The centers will function in the regions and the capital in the form of communal institutions or enterprises. The initiative for their creation will be submitted by the heads of regional or city state administrations (or heads of military administrations), and the final decision will be made by the relevant regional councils.
Material and technical support of the centers will be provided at the expense of local budgets and other sources not prohibited by law. This will include training equipment, communications equipment, mock-up weapons, training weapons, simulators and other equipment.
Instructor positions will be held by certified specialists, mostly veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If necessary, active servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will also be involved. The training programs will be formed on the basis of the Standard programs of the Command of the Forces of the TrO, taking into account the specifics of each region.
