The United States Embassy in Kyiv reported the availability of “specific information” regarding a possible large-scale air strike on the territory of Ukraine in the coming days. About this it is said in the official statement of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
In the message, the American diplomatic mission appealed to its citizens to be ready for immediate action in the event of an alarm:
“The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has received information about a potentially significant airstrike that could occur anytime within the next few days.”
Recommendations for US citizens:
- Follow the information in the local mass media.
- Determine the location of the nearest shelters in advance.
- In the event of an air alarm, immediately go to the shelter.
- Follow the instructions of local authorities and emergency services.
At the same time, military expert Ivan Stupak noted that it is worth carefully following the messages on the official resources of the US Embassy in Ukraine. He gave an example when, during the previous threat of using “Oreshnik”, the USA issued a warning about the increased danger for its citizens in Ukraine 72 hours before the events.
Then American companies withdrew their staff, and European embassies followed suit. After that, Ukraine was really hit by “Oreshnik”. According to the expert, such warnings should be taken as serious information, which indicates possible plans of the Russian Federation to use Oreshnik.
