Oligarch Kolomoisky’s term of detention extended in the case of “Privatbank”

Judge Olena Chaika refused to change the amount of bail for the businessman.

The court extended the term of detention of businessman Ihor Kolomoisky until September 2, 2024. The corresponding decision was made today, July 18, by the judge of the Shevchenkiv District Court of Kyiv, Olena Chaika, write “UNIAN”.

“The request to apply a preventive measure in the form of personal bail to Ihor Valeriyovych Kolomoiskyi was denied. The request of the senior detective to extend the preventive measure in the form of detention in custody was granted. The period of detention of the suspect Kolomoiskyi was extended for 47 days, i.e. until September 2, 2024. The amount of the bail was determined at 650,000 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons,” the judge said in the decision.

In case of bail, the following obligations are imposed on Kolomoiskyi: to appear in court upon summons in this criminal proceeding; not to go outside the settlement of the place of residence without the permission of the detective, prosecutor or court; inform detectives about a change of residence and means of communication; to refrain from extra-procedural communication with persons who are in the status of witnesses in this case; to hand over their passports and other documents for traveling abroad to the relevant state authorities.

“The period of validity of the duties assigned to the suspect is determined for two months from the moment of depositing the bail,” the decision states.
