The Ukrainian Navy took part in international naval exercises in the United Kingdom

The second phase of international exercises of the “Sea Breeze 2025” series, in which Ukraine is participating, began in the city of Portland (Great Britain). About this reported in the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Four Ukrainian anti-mine ships went to sea, including “Mariupol” and “Melitopol”, which were recently included in the Ukrainian fleet.
“Demining the Black Sea is vital for all Black Sea countries, because the safe functioning of merchant shipping is the basis of economic stability and prosperity of the region”, – said Commodore Dmytro Kovalenko during the opening of the exercises.
This year, the maritime component “Sea Breeze 2025” involved representatives of 22 countries, including NATO countries and Alliance partners. The exercises are aimed at training units in conditions as close as possible to combat, which will contribute to full integration into multinational operations.
“The main attention will be paid to assessing the compatibility of Ukrainian units with the requirements and standards of partner countries”, – noted the Navy.
US Navy Rear Admiral Michael Mattis emphasized the importance of the combat experience that Ukrainian sailors share with their partners. He drew attention to the importance of the Black Sea region for food security and its role as a key hub of world trade.
