The United States considers territorial concessions to Ukraine inevitable: Rubio

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that reaching an agreement to end the war would require territorial concessions from Ukraine. About this informs The New York Times.
Rubio emphasized that both sides — Ukraine and Russia — should be ready to make difficult decisions to settle the conflict:
“The most important thing is a strong sense that Ukraine is ready to do difficult things, just as the Russians will have to do difficult things to end this conflict, or at least suspend it in some way.”
At the same time, he refrained from specifying the possible parameters of the future peace agreement, stressing that the war does not have an exclusively military solution.
“The Russians cannot conquer all of Ukraine, and it is obvious that it will be very difficult for Ukraine to get the Russians back to where they were in 2014 in any reasonable amount of time.”, – added the US Secretary of State.
