US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the G7 countries and their partners are confident in the financial and military capacity of Ukraine to continue the fight or conduct peace negotiations from a position of strength in 2025. Blinken emphasized that the US continues to increase military aid to strengthen the defense of Ukraine. Washington will provide the Ukrainian army with all the necessary resources to effectively resist aggression next year.
“What we have been talking about from the very beginning, and the reason why so many countries are participating in the defense of Ukraine, is that the aggression that Russia is doing is not only directed against Ukraine and its people. The US Secretary of State expressed serious concern over the possible deployment of North Korean troops in the war on the side of Russia. Blinken emphasized that the Kremlin’s aggression is directed not only against Ukraine, but also against the fundamental principles of the international system, which ensure peace and stability in the world.
According to the Pentagon, as of October, the US has already transferred 83% of critically needed munitions to Ukraine, including missiles for HIMARS, Patriot and NASAMS, as well as 67% of air defense systems. In addition, 60% of other fire commitments aimed at strengthening Ukrainian defense capabilities have been fulfilled.
