The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on the liquidation of the MSEC

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a draft law that provides for the liquidation of medical and sanitary expert commissions (MSEK), starting from 2025. About this reported People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

“The council adopted in general the liquidation of MSEK from 2025. “for” draft law No. 12178 – 259 votes”, the message says.

According to the document, from January 1, 2025, instead of MSEK, expert commissions will be created in cluster and super-cluster hospitals. These commissions will implement a modern system of assessing the functioning of individuals, which should replace the outdated approach to medical and social examination.

The new law is aimed at changing approaches to determining the needs of persons with limitations in everyday functioning and improving the mechanisms for their provision. It also provides for reforming the system of medical and social expertise in Ukraine.

Currently, the functions of the central MSEK are performed by the Ukrainian State Research Institute of Medical and Social Disability Problems.
