The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, parliamentary factions and groups addressed the US President Donald Trump, the US Congress and the American people with an official appeal, expressing gratitude for their support and emphasizing the importance of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States. There was an appeal published on the official website of the parliament.
The Ukrainian Parliament emphasized that US leadership in the international arena is inextricably linked to the protection of the principles of freedom and democracy, compliance with international obligations and reliability in relations with allies.
It is also stated that the stability and security of Ukraine is impossible without unwavering support from the United States, which is based on the common values of freedom and democracy, which have inspired millions of Ukrainians.
The need to continue this support at the current critical moment for Ukraine and the whole of Europe was specially emphasized. Ukraine’s support in resisting Russian aggression directly affects the security and stable development of the European continent.
