The Verkhovna Rada is preparing an appeal to the US Congress with a request to continue supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russia

The Verkhovna Rada is preparing an official appeal to the US Congress with a request to strengthen sanctions against Russia and to continue supporting Ukraine. About this reported Chairman of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk.
As he noted, after the visit of the special representative of US President Donald Trump, Keith Kellogg, Ukraine is counting on a new strong sanctions package from the US Senate.
“This is a person who is really doing a lot on the international stage to be a very powerful communicator with the new administration of President Trump. That’s what he and I talked about, the things that we talked about, I can’t articulate to everyone. But from what I can tell, we very much expect a strong sanctions package from the Senate and then the US House of Representatives.” Stefanchuk emphasized.
He also reported that the parliament is preparing a detailed statement to the Congress and the House of Representatives on increasing pressure on Moscow, as well as providing Ukraine with the necessary resources.
“This is the issue of sanctions pressure, this is the issue of providing weapons to Ukraine, this is the issue of financial support to Ukraine, this is the issue of the transfer of F-16 to Ukraine, these are issues related to the return of Ukrainian children home. This is a big statement. Which, I think, will literally be registered in the parliament in a few days.” said the speaker.
It will be recalled that on July 19, the US House of Representatives previously supported the continuation of military aid to Ukraine, voting “for” by 353 votes.
