The Verkhovna Rada plans to simplify travel abroad for men under 24

Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada are working on creating a draft law that will allow Ukrainian men aged 18 to 24 to cross the border freely. About this told people’s deputy Ruslan Horbenko.

According to the parliamentarian, the initiative is aimed at solving the problem of crossing the border for young Ukrainians who are getting an education in foreign educational institutions. The draft law provides for the possibility of unhindered travel abroad for this category of citizens during their studies.

“As for boys aged 18 to 24-25 – they are not mobilized – there is a proposal and a draft law is being developed in the Verkhovna Rada that if they are studying abroad, they should be given the opportunity to freely cross the border during their studies.”, he noted.

If adopted, the draft law will not only simplify departure, but will also allow solving the issue of obtaining the necessary documents. The law provides for the possibility of issuing certificates at service centers, as well as putting them on military registration in accordance with current legislation. Thus, the initiative is designed to solve a number of problems that currently arise among young Ukrainians who want to get an education abroad.
