Tourist boat capsizes in Romania: four dead, three missing

A tourist motorboat with 14 passengers on board overturned during a storm in the Danube Delta near the Romanian city of Sulina. As a result of the incident, four people died, including one child. Three more are considered missing. About this informs The truth.
According to information from the Inspectorate of Emergency Situations of Tulcea County, the disaster signal was received by the emergency number 112 around 21:30. Rescuers, fire service, coast guard, transport police and ambulance crews immediately went to the scene of the tragedy.
Six passengers, who were wearing life jackets, were able to get ashore on their own. Four people were brought there by rescue boats in a state of clinical death, but attempts to resuscitate them were unsuccessful. In total, ten people were taken to the hospital in Sulin for examination, one person was hospitalized.
It was preliminarily established that the disaster occurred due to a sudden worsening of the weather. The search and rescue operation lasted several hours, three people are still missing. Local residents on private boats also joined the operation. The causes of the tragedy are being investigated, the authorities do not rule out that the deterioration of weather conditions was the decisive factor.
