Trump announces “grand parade” for his birthday

US President Donald Trump reported, that on June 14, his birthday, there will be a “grand” parade in Washington.
Trump clarified that on this day there will be a “grand parade in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States Army.”
“For two and a half centuries, our brave soldiers have fought, bled and given their lives for our freedom. Now we will honor them with a magnificent parade – worthy of their service and sacrifice.”, the message says.
The parade is scheduled for June 14, the day Trump turns 79. The administration of the current US president is preparing a celebration in the form of a large-scale military parade through the streets of the capital. The event is timed to the 250th anniversary of the American army, and its preparation has been ongoing since last year.
More than 6,600 military personnel, 150 units of military equipment, 50 helicopters, and performances by seven military bands are scheduled to participate in the parade. The motorcade route will run from the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia to Washington, DC, with a final stop on the National Avenue.
During his first term as president, Trump already tried to organize a large-scale military parade, inspired by the French celebration of Bastille Day, which he attended in Paris. Then he instructed the Pentagon to develop a similar action for the United States.
We will remind that on February 17, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, a representative of the Republican Party, took the initiative to declare Donald Trump’s birthday a new public holiday in the USA.
