Trump called journalists “sick degenerates” because of the news about Wittkoff, who “had to wait for hours to meet with Putin”

US President Donald Trump denied the information and criticized the journalists of the British TV channel Sky News for their report that his special envoy Steve Witkoff “was forced to wait for hours for a meeting with Vladimir Putin in Moscow.” He published the corresponding statement on his social network Truth Social.
“Fake news, as usual, is at it again! Why can’t they be honest for once? Last night I read that Putin made my honorable ambassador and special representative Witkoff wait for over nine hours, when in fact there was no wait.
There were other meetings with other Russian representatives, and obviously they took some time, but they were very productive. From there, everything went quickly and efficiently, and all signs are, I hope, very good!
Again, there was no nine-hour wait, or any wait at all! The only reason they made this story up is to try to discredit them because they are sick degenerates who need to start reporting the news properly. That’s why they lost their ratings, their audience and respect.” Trump wrote.

We will remind that the day before Sky News and other media reported that special envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in Moscow to deliver the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, but had to wait for hours for a meeting with Vladimir Putin in Moscow. According to journalists, the reception was delayed because Putin was busy with negotiations with Alexander Lukashenko during his urgent visit to Russia.
A version was also put forward that Witkoff had organized additional meetings with Russian officials before the main negotiations with Putin. This situation caused discussions about the nature of diplomatic relations between the US and Russia, as well as the perception of such a step as a possible diplomatic maneuver on the part of the Kremlin.
