US President Donald Trump congratulated the newly elected President of Poland Karol Nawrocki on his election victory and called him his ally. About this it is said in Trump’s post on the Truth Social social network.
“Trump’s ally wins in Poland, shocking all of Europe. Congratulations, Poland, you have chosen a winner”, – wrote the US president.
At the beginning of May, Navrotskyi visited Washington, where he took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the National Day of Prayer in the USA. During the visit, he met with Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. After these meetings, Nawrocki said that relations between Poland and the United States allegedly worsened under Donald Tusk’s government.
We will remind, on June 2, the second round of presidential elections took place in Poland. After counting 100% of the votes, the candidate from the “Law and Justice” party, Karol Navrotsky, won. According to official data from the State Election Commission, he received 50.89% of the vote, which is 10,606,628 votes.
His opponent, the representative of “Civic Platform” Rafal Tshaskovskyi, won 49.11% – 10,237,177 votes. The election commission noted that the gap between the candidates was less than two percent, or approximately 370,000 votes.
