Trump deprived his political opponents of access to classified materials

US President Donald Trump denied his political opponents access to classified materials. Among them were his opponents in the elections — Hillary Clinton and former vice president Kamala Harris. About this it is said in a memorandum published on the White House website.
Trump has decided that it is no longer in the “national interest” for Clinton, Harris and at least 12 other influential people to access classified information. He also stripped former Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan of classified material.
“I am directing the heads of all executive departments and agencies to take the necessary additional action under applicable law to revoke any current clearances to classified information of the individuals identified and to immediately terminate their access to such information. I am also ordering that these individuals be denied unescorted access to secured U.S. government facilities.”, Trump’s statement said.
With the decision, former diplomats, lawmakers and members of President Biden’s family will lose access to classified briefings, including the daily presidential briefing.
Trump also said that if any of these individuals received classified information clearance through work at a private company, “the US government agency that granted the clearance must notify the private company that these individuals’ access to classified information has been revoked.”
