He explained that the decision was emotional and did not agree with the legal team:

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said the post was compiled in cooperation with him and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. The Minister of Finance, in turn, rejected the suggestion that Trump’s move means recognition of the destabilization experienced by world markets.
