Trump extended some sanctions against Russia for another year

US President Donald Trump decided to extend some sanctions against Russia for another year. About this it is said in the official message of the head of the White House, placed in the US Federal Register.

“Pursuant to section 202(d) of the Emergency Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am extending for one year the state of emergency declared by Executive Order 13660,” – the document says.

It is clear from the text of the document that the sanctions introduced by the US administration in accordance with the decrees issued in 2014, 2018 and 2022 are meant.

“The actions and policies addressed in these executive orders continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.” – stated in the decree.

Thus, Trump ordered to extend the state of sanctions emergency until March 6, 2026.
