Ukraine and Europe will be involved in negotiations to end the war: Rubio

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Ukraine and European partners will be involved in the negotiation process to end the Russian-Ukrainian war when it officially begins. About this informs CBS News.

According to him, there is currently no negotiation process.

“All we have now is a call between Putin and President Trump, in which both sides expressed an interest in ending this conflict.” Rubio said.

He also suggested that further discussions could take place, which would determine the possible format of the talks:

“Eventually, there will come a point – if it’s going to be real negotiations, and we haven’t gotten to that yet, but if that happens, then Ukraine has to be involved because they’re the ones who’ve been invaded, and the Europeans have to be involved because they also have sanctions against Putin and Russia, and they’ve also contributed to this effort. We’re just not there yet. We’re really not ready, but we hope we will be because we all want this war to end.”
