Ukraine and the USA officially launched the joint Fund for the reconstruction of the country, which became a new stage in bilateral cooperation. About this informs First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko.
“Ukraine and the United States have completed all the necessary procedures for the launch of the American-Ukrainian reconstruction fund”, – she noted.
Svyridenko explained that the final step was the diplomatic note she received today from the US chargé d’affaires in Ukraine.
“Now we can officially consider that the Fund has been launched”, – emphasized the minister.
She expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated in the creation of the initiative.
“We have an equal partnership that respects the national interests of Ukraine, involves joint management and investment with America. The work of the Fund is oriented towards the future, in which the USA and Ukraine jointly invest in the restoration and development of our state.”, – explained Svyridenko.
We will remind, on May 1, a bilateral agreement on the creation of the Investment Fund was signed. Already on May 8, the document was ratified by the Verkhovna Rada, and on May 12 it was signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, which completed all formal procedures. Svyridenko specified at that time that all further agreements within the Fund will be of a commercial nature and will no longer be concluded by the government.
