Orban offers Zelensky to cease fire before the start of peace talks

Even before the start of his visit to Kyiv, the head of the Hungarian government promised that he would take the "first step" to establish peace in Ukraine.

Ukraine needs to cease fire and start negotiations with Russia. About this during a press conference in Kyiv stated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

“The war in which you are currently living has a very intense effect on the security of Europe. We highly value all the initiatives of Mr. President Zelensky to achieve peace. These initiatives take a lot of time. It is precisely because of the rules of international diplomacy that they are complicated. And I asked Mr. President to think about whether it is possible to go a little differently. Take a break and then continue, start negotiations,” said Orban.

On July 2, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán visited the Ukrainian capital, calling it the reason for Budapest’s presidency of the European Union. Before the start of the visit, the politician promised that he would take the “first step” towards establishing peace in Ukraine.

As you know, Orban is friends with the Russian President Vladimir Putin and all the time prevents the provision of aid to Ukraine from the European Union.
