Ukraine and Russia have exchanged prisoners of war for the fourth time in the last week. Thanks to another agreement, another group of Ukrainian defenders was able to return home from Russian captivity.
About the exchange reported President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. He noted that this time, among those released, there are mainly military personnel who have been in captivity for a long time – since 2022.
“We continue to take our people from Russian captivity. This is the fourth exchange in a week. Today, among the boys who have returned to Ukraine, there are many who have been in captivity since 2022. Soldiers of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Border Service and the State Special Transport Service.” Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted.
The President emphasized that the state continues its work aimed at freeing every Ukrainian who remains in enemy captivity.
“It is imperative that we free everyone and we are working precisely for this, so as not to leave anyone to the enemy. Thanks to everyone who helps.” – emphasized the head of state.
