The Russian Federation began to use soldiers from North Korea in assaults: Volodymyr Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi reported, that the Russian army began to involve soldiers from North Korea in the assaults. According to him, it happened on the territory of the Kursk region. Zelensky noted that the use of the North Korean military may spread to other areas of the front. He also drew attention to significant losses among this category of soldiers.

The president expressed his belief that Russia has drawn North Korea into the war, thereby expanding and prolonging the armed conflict. He emphasized that Moscow continues to ignore international calls for de-escalation and a peaceful settlement of the situation.

“In fact, Moscow involved another state in this war, and involved it as much as possible. And if this is not an escalation, then what is the escalation that many have been talking about? It is Putin who is taking steps that expand and continue this war. It is he who pushes away the possibility of peace. And he wants that in Asia the world has added problems. This is why the Russians are training North Korea in modern warfare.

And apparently, Moscow is ignoring calls from all countries, from China and Brazil to many others, about the need to do everything for de-escalation. If there is no strong reaction from the world, Russia is making the war worse. always so” – emphasized the president.

According to Zelenskyi, Ukraine plans to continue to defend itself together with its partners, making efforts to end the war and achieve peace. The question of the participation of North Korean soldiers will be discussed during meetings with European leaders. The President emphasized the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia, as well as the importance of investments in the defense of Europe in order to prevent further escalation of the conflict.
