A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Digitization and BEB: key agreements

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at increasing the transparency of procurement of unmanned aerial vehicles for the country’s security and defense needs.

According to press service reports Ministry of Figures and BABY, the memorandum envisages several important areas of cooperation. In particular, it is about:

• development of cooperation to ensure the economic security of Ukraine;
• monitoring of purchases within the framework of the National Informatization Program;
• introduction of IT tools to increase the efficiency of the work of the BEB;
• creation of the Unified Information System of the Bureau of Economic Security.

Digitization and the use of modern software tools, according to representatives of the Ministry of Digitization, opens up new opportunities for information analysis and investigations within the framework of BEB activities. The use of these tools will help to significantly increase the effectiveness of the fight against economic crimes and corruption, as well as contribute to the preservation of public funds.

One of the main topics of discussion during the signing of the memorandum was the creation of the Unified Information System of the BEB. This system, provided by legislation, should become a key tool for identifying risks and threats to economic security through the analysis of large volumes of data. Its launch will significantly improve the process of drawing up analytical conclusions and forecasting negative economic phenomena, which will be an important step in strengthening the economic security of the state.

The cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the State Security Bureau is another important step on the way to increasing the efficiency of state bodies in the fight against economic crime and corruption.
