Ukraine has all the prerequisites for ending the war already next year. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi during the third International Conference on Food Security Grain from Ukraine, informs “Interfax-Ukraine”.
The head of state noted that the position of Donald Trump, who won the presidential elections in the USA, regarding the war in Ukraine will become known, probably in the middle of winter.
“We are open to dialogue, which I have repeatedly emphasized, in particular to the leaders of the countries of Africa, Asia and the Arab world. We are ready to consider their proposals. I also want to see proposals from the newly elected president of the United States of America. I think they will be presented in January , and that’s when we’ll have a clear plan for ending this war.” Zelensky said.
He also refuted Russian information manipulations about Ukraine’s alleged refusal to consider other peace plans besides its own, stressing that this is just another example of misinformation on the part of the aggressor.
The President expressed confidence that the countries of the Global South will support Ukraine and efforts to end the war, especially if the US takes a more active and decisive position.
“I am convinced that we have every chance to end the war next year. There are already clear steps for this. We understand that Russia will not agree to the fulfillment of these conditions, but all our initiatives are based on the UN charter and have the support of international partners.” – emphasized Zelensky.
