Ukraine has implemented GRECO’s anti-corruption recommendations in the field of public administration: NACP

The Ukrainian delegation took part in the 98th plenary meeting of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), which took place in Strasbourg. During the meeting, a report on Ukraine’s implementation of recommendations on preventing corruption among people’s deputies, judges and prosecutors was presented. “The Ukrainian delegation took part in the 98th plenary meeting of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), which was held in Strasbourg (French Republic). The Ukrainian delegation was led by the Head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) Viktor Pavlushyk. At the meeting, the additions were agreed and approved to the Second Report on Ukraine’s Implementation of GRECO’s Fourth Evaluation Round Recommendations.They relate to prevention corruption among people’s deputies, judges and prosecutors”, – said in the message.
According to the press service of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Ukraine has implemented seven key recommendations. They relate to ensuring the financial transparency of officials, regulating lobbying activities, improving the integrity of judges, implementing evaluation mechanisms and disciplinary responsibility of judges, forming the composition of the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of prosecutors, as well as increasing the level of accountability of the prosecutor’s office.
“The meeting became an important platform for presenting Ukraine’s successes in implementing anti-corruption reforms, as well as discussing future steps in this direction. Ukraine’s participation in GRECO contributes to further rapprochement with the EU within the framework of integration processes, strengthening transparency and the rule of law in Ukraine. GRECO’s recommendations have also become a cornerstone a cornerstone for negotiations with the European Commission regarding Ukraine’s accession to the EU”, – emphasized the head of the NAKC Viktor Pavluschyk.
