Ukraine is negotiating with Great Britain on the training of “completely new” government officials: Zaluzhnyi

Kyiv is discussing with London the possibility of annual training of 5-7 Ukrainian students who will be able to occupy government positions in the future. The Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain, Valery Zaluzhnyi, said this at the annual general meeting of the European Business Association. informs “Interfax-Ukraine”.

According to Zaluzhny, this project will allow to form in 20 years a new generation of officials with a completely different approach to the implementation of laws and attitude to business.

The British elites “almost managed to be convinced” that the education of Ukrainian civil servants would be “a guarantee of the preservation of their investments”, he added.

Zaluzhnyi believes that this initiative can help prepare future Ukrainian ministers, prime ministers, governors, and possibly the president.

In addition, the British Parliament is currently considering the removal of some legislative restrictions on direct investment in the production of weapons in Ukraine. The ambassador is confident that this issue will be resolved soon, as Great Britain is interested in modernizing its own armed forces thanks to Ukrainian defense technologies.
