Ukraine offers the Russian Federation to abandon strikes on civilian infrastructure for 30 days

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi stated, that Ukraine takes the initiative to temporarily refrain from strikes by long-range missiles and drones on civilian infrastructure for at least 30 days with the possibility of further extension.

“As of this hour since the beginning of the day, the Russian army has violated Putin’s cease-fire more than 2 thousand times. There have already been 67 Russian assaults against our positions in various directions, and the most – on Pokrovsky. 1,355 Russian attacks, of which 713 are heavy weapons, 673 use of FPV by the Russians“, Zelensky noted.

The president emphasized that Russia has violated its own promise to cease fire on almost all key areas of the front. At the same time, it failed to respond even within one day to Ukraine’s initiative to establish complete silence for a period of 30 days, starting from Easter.

“However, there were no air alarms today. So, this is the format of silence that has been achieved and is the easiest to continue. Ukraine offers to abandon any strikes by long-range drones and missiles on civilian infrastructure for a period of at least 30 days with the possibility of extension.” – emphasized Zelensky.

According to him, Russia’s refusal to agree to this initiative will be evidence of its intention to continue to act exclusively for the destruction of human lives and waging war.
